About Us

Shabbat Services at Congregation B'nai Israel are held at 8:00 pm on most Friday evenings. We enjoy a Family Service which begins at 6:30 pm one Friday per month. Saturday morning services are held on the occasion of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.  At the conclusion of Friday evening services, we hold an Oneg Shabbat (refreshments and social hour). Throughout the year our synagogue family also celebrates many holidays and life cycle events.

Rabbi Louis Feldstein leads our High Holiday services, B'nai Mitzvah services, and some Shabbat services. We also host other guest rabbis or service leaders at various times of the year. Check the B'nai Israel Calendar for more information.

Susan Burden, our Cantorial Soloist, assists on Shabbat when Rabbi Feldstein is leading services.  She also conducts services when rabbinic leadership is not available, as well as serving as our ritual and religious support.  Angela Ellis serves as the administrator for our Congregation.

Our congregational business and activities are managed by our Board of Trustees, an elected volunteer body of our membership that meets regularly and oversees various committees that serve important functions within our community.

Congregation B'nai Israel offers a variety of educational opportunities, including: Religious School programs for Pre-School to Confirmation, adult education classes such as beginning Hebrew and Judaism 101, and Torah study with Rabbi Feldstein.
