About our Congregation:  Congregation B'nai Israel is a Reform Congregation located in and serving the Jewish population of the South Metropolitan Atlanta area.  Our members live primarily in Fayette, Clayton, Henry, Spalding, Douglas , and South Fulton counties.  The Congregation was formed in the early 1980's through the efforts of a handful of Jewish families who wanted and needed to worship and celebrate their Judaism together within this community.  It is made up of members from all walks of life, all professions and all backgrounds of Judaism.  The membership has grown to 105 member families.

The Congregation synagogue is located on seven acres of land in Fayette County, where our synagogue building is located.   Being a small congregation, we may not have the large facilities that other congregations enjoy, but we do have many things that they only strive for and THAT'S what makes B'nai Israel so special.

MISSION STATEMENT:  The purpose of the Congregation shall be to affirm their faithful attachment to Judaism and their adherence to its liberal and traditional interpretation;  to encourage religious, social, cultural, civic and educational activities among its membership; to enlighten and direct public opinion in regard to an understanding of Judaism;  and to apply the principle of Judaism to their personal conduct and to family life.
